BMW car model Series

The BMW produces it´s cars in so called series. Each of them is identified by a single digit or character.

BMW 1 series

This serie is meant to be a lower entry point into the BMW platform.

BMW 3 series

This is the main model serie of the BMW. It provides most of the sales. The BMW 3 serie is meant to be a compact executive car. It is manufactured since 1975.

BMW 5 series

This model is a mid-size luxury car / executive car.

BMW 6 series

This model is BMW's grand touring luxury sport coupé.

BMW 7 series

This is a flagship car for BMW. It is a fullsize executive sedan. Typically this series is where the newest technological innovations appear first.
